FAQs

General Questions

1. What is a recovery coach?

A recovery coach is a trained professional who supports individuals in their recovery from addiction or substance use disorders. They offer guidance, encouragement, and accountability while helping clients set and achieve recovery goals.

2. How is a recovery coach different from a therapist or sponsor?

A recovery coach is not a licensed therapist or a 12-step sponsor. Coaches focus on present and future goals rather than delving into past trauma or clinical diagnoses. Unlike sponsors, recovery coaches support all recovery pathways—12-step and non-12-step alike.

3. Who can benefit from recovery coaching?

Anyone in any stage of recovery—from seeking treatment to long-term sobriety—can benefit. Our services are also helpful for those who have relapsed and are looking to get back on track.

Services & Support

4. What types of services do you offer?

We offer personalized coaching sessions, recovery planning, relapse prevention support, life skills training, family coaching, interventions, peer groups, and referrals to clinical or community-based resources.

5. Are sessions in-person or virtual?

We offer both! You can choose in-person sessions (where available) or meet virtually via phone or video calls for maximum flexibility.

6. How often will I meet with my recovery coach?

That depends on your needs. Many clients start with weekly sessions, but we can tailor the frequency to your situation and goals.

9. What should I expect in the first session?

Your first session will focus on getting to know you, discussing your recovery goals, and creating an initial support plan. It’s a safe, judgment-free space.

Cost & Insurance

10. How much does recovery coaching cost?

Costs vary depending on the level of support and services provided. Contact us for specific pricing or visit that specific page.

11. Is recovery coaching covered by insurance?
