My name is Iris, I am a person in long term recovery which means I have not used a drug since Aril, 19th 2015. EDI saved my life, and it was there when I learned that my passion was to help those who were sick and suffering like me. It was there that I discovered I could pass along the skills and knowledge to others who were seeking recovery and show them that there is a better way to live life and introduce to them the many pathways of recovery that would be beneficial for them. I am also a student at RAC and my major is Addiction Studies. I strongly believe that having a peer support is a main contributor to people successfully navigating through their own recovery. Everyone has a journey to walk, and we already know what the disease of addiction has done to our lives why not see what recovery has to offer us so far I have no complaints.
