Shahid Burden

Shahid is a Recovery Coach with over 14 years of personal recovery time and spent 17 of his years in active addiction. He comes from a family where addiction and trauma were at the roots. Shahid became a Recovery Coach because he wants to be there waiting to assist and provide hope when a person is ready to accept help. His journey in recovery is bolstered by his commitment to his faith and advocating for those struggling with addictions—both of which help to guide his recovery coaching approach. Shahid is passionate about helping others navigate their own recovery journeys and strives to help those who don’t feel heard. He believes in the power of the peer-to-peer model of support and is committed to offering guidance to those seeking to improve their quality of life. Shahid’s coaching style is focused on sincerity, integrity, respect, and a belief that no matter how dark things may get, obstacles can be overcome with commitment. His goal is to empower individuals to take charge of their recovery and build a meaningful, fulfilling life. Outside of his work, Shahid enjoys spending time with family, learning, sports, and exercising.
